Make a plane using 4 points on a model

I'm trying to remove a piece of my model by making a plane from which I can draw another sketch to use to cut the material. I saw a feature for making a 3 point plane but not a four point plane so if anyone has any other ideas to share it would be much appreciated. (the image I attached is the area that I want to remove from my model to make a flat surface)

It would make it a lot easier if you would share you model.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.

I will assume, since you have not supplied your model, the four points are on the same plane so you will have to use a 3D sketch and a Surface Patch to achieve the non-planar plane you desire.  Using this surface you can extrude to it, use it to cut a body and a variety of other processes.  The Screencast will illustrate.

You only need 3 points, any more would be redundant. What do you get if you select the points at the 3 arrows? If your forth point is not on the plane created from these 3 points your rectangle is twisted (non planar).

I was able to do what you said yesterday when I figured it out, just made a patch and used that as the splitting tool when splitting the body to get that specific chamfer I was looking for. Then I just hid the patch and the corner that was split from the main body cycron 1.JPGcycron 2.JPG
