Hi, question we are trying to design full boats with fusion 360.

As soon as we go professional and in full design  production we can't loose time due to a slow computer.

 i have now an iMac  2,8Ghz i7  quad-core

We see that fusion uses all the cpu power it has on this quadcore when calculating " a shell" for example.

It works but becomes slow when we design every detail.

will fusion use all the 8 cores? someone experience with that?

So we are thinking on a upgrade what is best ?

4.0GHz quad-core Intel Core i7  imac

or

mac pro 3.0GHz 8-core with 25MB of L3 cache

many thanks for your help.

@Anonymous Thank you for your post.

As you wrote, Fusion is able to use multi-core procesor.

But single-core speed determines the result for (for example) "a shell" more than multi-core speed.

In other words, multi-core procesor is always better, but using processor with less cores but more powerful cores is better for Fusion.
