Looking for workflow advice – to sweep or not to sweep?

Hello,

I'm blocked on the best way to approach modelling this part. I've tried various approaches including sweeping, lofting and patching with little to no luck.

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction of the best workflow for the task.

Ultimately I am looking to sweep the closed triangular-ish profile along the bottom rail seen below. It's very simple along the straight section obviously, but I keep running into errors as it attempts to complete the shape at the end of the rail. Would I be better off removing the fillets on the profile and the end of the rail and just adding those in by filleting the solid after the form has been created?

I have also attached the fusion file for the sketch curves shown above. Any guidance would be much appreciated! Thank you all.

Based on your sketches, the desired geometry is not clear. What shape do you want exactly? Something like this?

Thanks for the reply. I realize it is a bit unclear. To simplify things further, let's ignore the small fillets.

The geometry should essentially be something like this:

Sorry about the rotated view, I can't seem to fix it!Sorry about the rotated view, I can't seem to fix it!

I have opened the file, and with this file, Fusion is behaving badly, some fun and games, think I found it - could relate to sketch 2.

Sweeps with differing selections, are not completing, preview ok, and weird result or errors.

finally a yellow icon, no body.

this attempted extrusion is not normal,  should be extruding to the right,

You mentioned not using the fillet in sketch.  You will have to decide what you want in the area of the top right corner of Sketch 3.

Finally,  I did manage to sorta mitre that end, pretty sure it's not what you wanted.

Might help....
