Hello,
I'm attempting to create movement between a bolt attached to an outer sleeve along an inner sleeve groove. I'm having trouble deciding which is the best or even a valid method of how to create the desired result. Cylindrical joint movement seems to make the most sense, but defining limits hasn't been as easy to grasp. The outer sleeve, handles, and bolt are a rigid group as to move together. I've set joint origins as the beginning and end of the grove in an attempt to limit the path. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can supply the file if needed to aid in the instruction or understanding of the model. If i'm not being descriptive enough, please let me know and I'll gladly elaborate where needed.
