Lofting a spoon

Please see attached, it's a 3d spline, half a spoon. Since 3d splines can't be mirrored (why?) I got the mirrored spline through a workaround I read (extrude, mirror extrusion, include edge in new sketch).

Then I created 3 planes where I want to define the cross section of the spoon. Normally I would like to have points where the plane intersects the curves in order to have something to attach the cross section to, but I can't figure out how get that.

How should I approach creating the cross sections so they touch the existing curves?

Project > Intersect all rails to each sketch, hide rails, and continue.

(not checked the file yet)

Might help...
