Loft using Path

I am trying to taper the top of this rib.  Using the loft I tried cutting the corner off.  I need to taper it while following along the curve of the face.  It leaves part of the face uncut, not sure how to fix it.  Also if i select the outer edge as path I get message it is not smooth?

Not Loft, Extrude cut it away.

Sketch 7 is not parallel to the curved face, so you may need to edit that sketch to be square to the radial face.

Curved face projected to a new sketch, Plane between 2 lines.

I used your sketches, added a dimension to one, so you can change the size as needed.  The Screencast will be the best way to explain my process.  Model is attached.

That looks great, I need the taper on both sides so I tried to repeat your method on the other side.  When I try to perform the second split body using the offset surface I get a compute error about not intersecting.

I think you are doing wayyyy to much work.

I would do the entire design very differently (starting with a fully defined Sketch1 of course).

But having said that, see attached.

Don't like any of those options,  now that we know what you want.
