Is this not possible with loft?

Closed sketch, 2 separate sketches on separate planes

Chose the closed sketch as profile and the 2 other sketches as rails

Ok button greyed out. Is it because the profile sketch is closed?

Yes, and no.  You can do a loft similar to this with a couple of restrictions:

  1. it has to be a surface loft (at least I was unable to get it to work with a solid loft)
  2. you have to make sure the closed loop in the base is really two different curves
  3. you have to turn off chain select

Here is a screencast:

Thanks Jeff,

How do I make the first sketch. 2 open profiles.

When I draw two separate splines they want to always become 1.

Is there a split node command?

Managed to split the node with unfix?

Don't know if that is correct?

But still can't make it work

Most likely you forgot to turn off chaining in the Loft command.  Your curve is correctly split, you should be able to loft it.

Thanks Jeff and Cad Whisperer

Could you post a screen cast of you you did it in a model.

I select the first sketch in tsplines or model and even I cannot isolate one side of the sketch.

I still don't fully understand how to break apart a sketch

I would really like to do this in t splines loft, but again, either side of the first sketch cannot be selected.

Again, make sure that you have de-selected "Chain Selection" in the loft dialog.  This is what allows you to select just one curve for a profile.  Also, you need to manually add a new profile for the other curve, to guarantee that the curves are not automatically joined together into one profile:
