Loft G1 error: is it possible to create Angular lofts?

I'm trying to model a girder using the loft command to connect 3 profiles.

First attempt using only the top rail works.

However resultant shape is too organic.

So introduce the bottom rail.

Get a "G1" error, which I understand to mean that Fusion wants the loft to approach at some kind of a tangent, not at an angle.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Curves of a single rail need to be at least G1, for loft to succeed. In your situation I would try to make that shape in two steps. First loft from profile 1 to profile 2, second loft from profile 2 to profile 3. Use join option in loft dialog window.

Many thanks.

Just done that and it works great!

For future reference, how does one ensure that lines will meet the G1 criterion?

If you've drawn those line by yourself you need do ad tangent or smooth constraint.
