Loft and rail problem, tangent

Hi

I'm trying to create a loft with a rail and it fails whatever I do with

Modeling Error: Rail(s) cannot be tangent to profiles!

The loft is to be between the profiles in sketches 1 and 2 and the rail it should follow is the arc in sketch 3.

The body will be one lug of a watch case and I need the loft to follow that arc to later blend in with the center section of the case that is not yet drawn in this example design.

Maybe I do something wrong but in general I think this should be a perfect example why to use a rail. Can someone help to get it to work?

Kind regards

Martin

Not exactly, only the areas right of the blue arcs should be in the loft.

If you step through the timeline you should be able to follow how this was done.

I worked with surface lofts and a patch.

@atlantisLKQD4

Examine the attached.

Edit:  I like @TrippyLighting solution better. (Examine from Front view.)

Need a bottom rail, to make anything work.

Split Trippy's body, with this surface patch.

Your very acute corner top point will annoy Loft.

Might help....
