Locking a drawing section view cut line

Is there any way to lock a section view cut line?  Being able to accidentally drag them is not good.

Also how can we get it to align exactly thru the center of holes and things like that.  The inferencing does not work all that well at a distance.

I thought about creating a sketch line and using that for the section view but that does not appear to be an option either.

FYI - this works as expected in Autodesk Inventor Professional.  

Has long been requested in Fusion.

I have been asking for this for YEARS

I have spoken about it in web discussions with the developers at Autodesk

I have spoken about it on a 1:1 call with the (at the time) guy in charge of the drawing environment

I hold little hope for the basics of drawing to be improved.....

Well I guess I should have tried the drawing environment a bit more before completing this project.  That is very disappointing news.  I guess I don't understand the process the developers have intended for section views.  

Seems like something that should have been nailed down before some of the AI drawing scheme stuff.

If you can just make a section line selectable from a sketch that's linked to the model in the drawing environment that would be amazing.

How is anyone actually making drawings they can hand off to manufacturers or customers?

Just about to finish up a drawing and must have bumped something and the all views basically blow up.  

How about a little less AI drawings and some solid fundamental tools to work with.

Now I wasted about 3 weeks of design work only to likely be forced to start over in a different CAD software

Im basically not able to produce drawings sucessfully without re-doing a great deal of work. Its a pretty sad state of affairs to be honest.

I realize that drawings has not been around as long as some environments in Fusion.  But this whole mantra of it being new software is getting old as well.  First product I download with a Fusion reference was 2012 was called Inventor Fusion then in 2014 the Fusion we know now.  That is 12-14 years now.  Some of the development seems out of order to me.

Without a real timeline and commitment Autodesk is forcing me away from the product and back to SolidWorks.   We just had this happen again and lucky for us we are manufacturing the mating part at the same time and noticed the drawing dimensions were off due to the section view alignment off again.

We tried creating a centerline and using that to snap the section view to.  It works great until you realize you can still drag it and the center line will just move with it.  It does let you know the center line needs re-liked but why can you drag center line??
