Locking a design from edits

Hi,

Is it possible to lock a design from edits so it doesn't create a new version?

Sometimes I just want to look at a design to maybe reuse something without any intention of editing it at all, but it get edited and a new version is saved and I can't do anything about it.

In most other applications you get a prompt asking if you want to save it or not, but in Fusion 360 it just saves it no questions asked.

You can set this behaviour under preferences!

Hi!

I think that perhaps you have an option set in your preferences "Automatic Version on Close" (or something close to that). This will take any edits you've made, and save them, without warning you. Some "edits" can seem minor - like turning on the visibility of a sketch....turning it back off doesn't help either....edited is edited. Still - no versions should be made unless you save - and this is probably happening to you without you knowing it because of that option.
