Little loft issue

Hello, i made a curved loft, and i see a straight line i should not have that is not on the other side, though the profile is symetric. What is wrong ? Here is the file https://a360.co/2TaZL7S

Thanks

Hi @eric.thepaut3. Does your object has a symmetry? Your bottom profile seems a little bit off center.

Your first profile is OK, but here is the difference of bottom profile:

Then your shape becomes:

Sorry but i don't see... You add a center point constraint? To what ? I'm too newb, you must tell more...

Sorry not being clear before.  😶

You defined well the first sketch (the main straight part), and it has symmetry.

In the second sketch, you could project that center line for symmetry (or create a new one on this skecth). Here you could draw one side of yout shape (one line and one spline) and then Mirror them. As you used spline, surely the other side will be symmetric.

You can use symmetry here, and add appropriate constraints to help you.

But...here I didn't delete anything; I just added a point to show you the small difference that caused you Loft issue. Then I added a Coincident constraint between this point and the center line (your construction line). There are other means you can achieve the same result, though.

This is your design, with the point I mentioned.

Or...you could loft one side to create half of your shape, and mirror the solid body.

Yeah great ! I saw a point was not really on the line! Thanks!
