Litte Joint Origin UI bug

When adding a user parameter to one of the offset dimensions in the dialogue for creating an explicit joint origin it accepts it.

Changing the user parameter seems to also update the offset for the joint origin.

However, when editing the joint origin, the field that was initially filled with the user parameter shows the value of that user parameter, not the user parameter itself. That can be confusing.

Hi @TrippyLighting

Thanks for bringing this one to our attention! The Joint Origin dialogue box should maintain that model parameter, so I have logged a report (FUS-30219) about this behavior with our development team. We will be looking into this issue and I will circle back here when I have more information to share.

In the meantime, I would recommend using a numerical entry in the Offset field. I was able to recreate the issue you were experiencing, and noticed that if the model parameter is updated more than once, the joint origin offset will not update in the model. Please avoid complications due to this by using a numerical entry for now.

Hi Peter!

Same issue with several other input fields - ex. joint limits and r-pattern distance. Already shared models with @paul.clauss so hope they look into it.

Still it's possible to accomplish initial task by entering expression with user parameter in Change Parameters interface in corresponding feature - F360 will store it correctly with parameter name not value.
