Linking two joints to rotate via a connecting rod / axle

Hi

 

Hoping someone can help me work out what I am missing. I'm tryng ( and have been trying for a few days ) to build a joint motion that links the two L shaped parts below so that if I move one of the L parts the other one also moves.

 

So effectivelly 

the L shape parts are connected to the rod  / axle

the rod rotates when I move one of the L parts 

which in turn rotates the other part.

Not checked the file yet, 

what is grounded?

Both move at same rate 1:1 motion?

Are the 2 L plates joined by an axle, move one the other goes?

 

Might help….

At the moment I have grounded the axle. 

 

Yep the two L plates joined by an axle and 1:1 motion.

You did not say if you wanted them synchronized, to each other, in a certain position, it can be changed. Model attached.   If you need help, let me know.

 

Edit: Second model attached with L-Shaped Components lined up and moving together.
