Great to see the makerspace, and that you guys are looking to up your game! I remember coming across a similar question here
http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-and-documentation/teen-maker-space-and-licensing/td-p/5449223
that for non-student users, can sign up with a free startup license, which catches hobbyists and enthusiasts, as described on this page
http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview
With the right kind of educational support (sign up at hobbymate.net for email updates for comprehensive free educational software...actually the page is not updating for some reason, but my email is jjurbanus5@yahoo.com to get on mailing list) a makerspace like that can be a perfect place to start empowering people with Fusion 360 coupled with digital fabrication equipment.
I also noticed that for Mac computers, in the thread below Fusion 360 was successfully remotely installed on multiple computers with a computer image that was deployed.
