Keep Parameters window open all the time

It would be nice to have the ability to have the parameters window open all the time instead of having to keep opening it everytime I need to change something.  Would also be nice if you could have it just show User Parameters as that's what I would primarily need to be changing.

Was just googling if this was possible; I work a lot with a dual monitor setup and parameters.

Would be really handy if the parameter window could just stay open al the time.

I know this is an old thread:-)

Peter,

thanks for keeping this old thread alive.  It is probably a 5 year old issue that has still not been resolved

Maybe if we all "LIKE" it, it will get more attention.  I brought it up in a class at autodesk, and the response was somehing like "yes...we are aware that it is wanted", but they said that if I want to elevate it, I need to sell it, so please help "sell it" to others!

I Liked it, but it would probably get more traction if it was posted in Ideastation

is it not about time this was added? It is now the end of 2019 and the request was made in 2015!!!

Why not actually repsond to customer requests?

How would you know what customer requests the Fusion 360 team is responding to ?

By AD noting it in "What's New" an/or the functionality manifesting itself in use.

I would really like this feature as well.  Adding it as another tab where COMMENTS is would be excellent.

I also would like to see this.  Constantly opening and closing the fx panel is annoying.  Especially on a 4 monitor setup.

Same goes for Inventor. Stop adding 1000 of other functions that are never used..... Concentrate on the ones that are already in the programs and improve on those first so you dont need 100 clicks every time you have to do something over and over.... You even need to click over and over to get to the parameters list in the dialog box every times you want to extrude something...

List the **** parameters by default so they can be used easily!

Hi,

My workflow:

1. create all needed parameters

2. create sketch and features using the parameters.

Never open the parameter list unless I want to create a new P.

Being able to dock the parameters window is not for your workflow. Its when you have to change the parameters back and forth over and over. That's when you want to be able to keep the parameters window open and dock it.

Perhaps it accomplishes the goal if sketch visibility is on/Show Dimension and edited on screen.

An issue that I've had many times is that sometimes editing a shown dimension doesn't work, but editing the same dimension in the Parameters window does.

But maybe that wouldn't happen if the sketch dimensions are defined as user parameters.

Noah, In Inventor, you can edit a visible dimension...even with the sketch not open, but it doesn't update the part unless you open the sketch associated with the dimension and then close it

Um OK, but I don't have Inventor, and we're talking about F360.
