I am probably missing something here but I am not sure why this joint is failing.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks... Richard

Accepted solution

Make sure both Joint Origins are visible.

Edit the joint, cancel the second component point selection.

Reselect the Joint origin on the yellow body, and all worked as expected here.

Might help....

That worked great, but I do not understand why I am not making the second component selection if I am joining two components?

Not sure I understand, because the joint failed, it was just a do over.

Your workflow is a little unusual, but was not the cause as far as I can see.

(multiple bodies in top component,

joint origins, are duplication of existing select points)

Thanks.  This was an old drawing that I added on to.  I usually start by making a new component and not drawing in the top component.  I did not know how to fix this, so I just continued drawing in the to component.  Not my normal structure.
