Joining two bodies at an edge

Hello,

I am making an object in fusion 360 and I am trying to connect two extrusion on the same edge so that I can then fillet the edge. The problem is that the extrusions don't perfectly match up on an edge even though I make both sketches the same.

Attached is the model and a picture of the object that I am making.

Hi,

Please share the file and the data on the pipes and the angles as they meet.

File > export > save as f3d on local device  > attach it to the next post.

You could try to make an axis, then a plane at the middle of your piece.

Use the "intersection" tool in the sketch.

Then you can use "Rib" or "web" tool. Depends on which one fits your piece.

Check the file, let me know if that is the result you are looking for.

Go back to this extrude, change to New Body, instead of Join.

Create a new Plane that aligns to the seam of the two pipes, (three point plane)

Cut the new body with Split Body, and remove the small piece.

Modify this body for the top view curve (I haven't for demo purposes)

Mirror the new Body with the 3 point plane.

Mirror both these bodies to the other side.

Combine all to one body with Join.  Fillet as desired.

Might help....
