Hello,
I am attempting to make a spider web model and am having problems with joining of threads.
At an intersection, If I join the strands I am later unable to apply different material properties to the mesh on the bodies as they are now one. I have two distinct materials which need to be distributed throughout the web structure. In this scenario, I have no issues with testing point loads on the model in simulation tab however.
The second way I made the model included making different components at the intersections but then this causes interference and I am unable to use the simulation tools.
Is there an easy way to apply different material properties to different area's of a single body?
If not, is there a way to attached the threads to one another as separate bodies/components? I am having issues as the objects are curved and have no edges to join to one another.
