Joining faces

Hi,

I have just started using Fusion 360. I have recently used SolidWorks, so there are some concepts that are a bit difficult to adapt to. I'm trying to mate/join a fastener between a floor and a wall. What is the best way to join this?

Hi @vegard.midtboen3DK2Q, thanks for posting.

I'm not sure if this will be the best and most efficient method, but I've managed to create a similar joint using the Two Edge Intersection option when creating a joint. You may need to move the element and rotate it by the appropriate angle. This can also be done while creating the joint.

Hi @Rafal.Chlod , thanks you your support.

By using your approach, I managed to create almost what I wanted (see photo). However, this approach does not join the fastener to either the floor or the wall, meaning that if I changed the plate thickness, I would have to changed the offset distance as well. It should have been possible to snap to objects instead of offsetting it a number (maybe an input to further improvements??).

I'm also not a modeling guru, but I used a similar approach, and I'm able to edit most anything without losing positions. I did make 3 joints and I've got a couple dimensions that will update when another component has changed size. Take a look at this file and see if it helps you out
