Issue with hidden geometry still being selectable

Ever since one of the more recent updates, I've noticed that hidden sketches and surfaces are still selectable. This get really annoying when working with a lot of sketches that are close together, or stacked on top of each other like in the screencast I posted. Is there a setting to turn this off of is this a new bug with the new update?

The hidden geometry is selectable no matter what you are doing in the design tab, not just when you are editing a sketch.

Sketches do that it as well, and you cannot make them unselectable. Besides, I don't want to make the surfaces unselectable, I just don't want them to be selectable when they are supposed to be hidden.

I noticed the same behavior on a project the other day.  I can't seem to reproduce it now.  This certainly looks like a bug.  If you have a model that is still behaving this way, I suspect someone at AD would like to see it. @Anonymous , what do think?

Yeah, I've never had an issue with it before, but as of last week(I think) every single file does it for me. If anyone wants to see it, let me know and I can send a file

Please do send a file, @jeremyah6364 , if you have one.  It could be file-specific, it could be some sort of state that Fusion gets into, it could be some setting (like selection filters) that is triggering it.  It'd be great if someone comes up with a foolproof way to reproduce it.

I've noticed this a couple of times as well, started with the April update.

XRef to a related post, also from today:  bodies-selectable-despite-parent-component-being-invisible.  Something is definitely going on...

@jeff_strater  Found a way that is repeatable for me at the moment. In a new design create a sketch and create an unconstrained circle and close the sketch. Hide the sketch then edit and drag the circle to a new diameter, with it selected close the sketch, it should still be visible. Click away from the circle to unselect, now mouse over the area and for me it will highlight even though it's hidden. Seems to be down to editing a hidden sketch.

Thanks, @HughesTooling  - I haven't been able to reproduce it yet with that recipe, but I know that there is something out there...  Thanks for all the help, everyone.  More recipes would be helpful, if others can easily reproduce it.

@jeff_strater  That's odd. Just tried on both my work PCs and they both show the problem using the steps from above. My notebook and one PC are running win8.1 and the other PC is win7. All have nvidia cards.

@lichtzeichenanlage  Thanks for trying. Only difference I see is I have Auto Look At Sketch enabled, just tested with it off and the problem goes away.

Just tried @HughesTooling method and it did it. Turned off auto look at sketch and the problem went away, even on existing models where the problem used to exist.

Problem just came back, even with auto look at sketch turned off. Here's the file

Trouble is I don't think the problem shows if you close and reopen a file. I had a file with the problem, made a screencast and ready to make a post about it but when I reopen the design no problems.Smiley Frustrated

Aha!!  That's it:  Sketch Auto Look At...  I knew that option was evil.  I was able to reproduce it by setting that option.  OK, that gives us something to go on.  Thanks, @HughesTooling !!!
