When I'm working on bodies and sketches in a new component, I'm always making the top level component active so I can turn off the ghosting and see the design better. Subsequently, I often forget to active the component again when I create new sketches, construction planes, bodies, etc.
So the newly added features have the wrong parent. And, I find I can't reparent them back to the correct component, probably due to dependencies between bodies and sketches.
Anyway, for me it seems a "set up" to constantly have things with the wrong parent. Maybe after I get burned a few more times I'll make sure I focus on getting the correct component activated before doing anything.
I don't understand why ghosting of the active component is done. Seems to me everything BUT the active component should be ghosted.
But can I just turn off the ghosting feature?
