Is there anyway to determine if a sketch is fully defined/constrained? I don't see any kind of color change like in SolidWorks?

see example:

 Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

So we actually have a Preview feature that you can turn on that will change the color of the sketch depending on whether or not it is fully defined. To enable this:

  • Click your name in the top-right corner to display a drop down menu. Select Preferences
  • Select the Preview Tab
  • Check Sketch - Color sketch geometry based on constraint status

Hope this helps! Also, in the Inspect menu is a tool called Check Sketch which can help determine if there are open/closed profiles in your sketch. Edit: Just realized this is an add-in that I downloaded from the Autodesk App Exchange here, in case you are interested.

Thanks,

There is one more way to tell. In the browser open the sketch folder. Fully constrained sketches will have a "pin" in the upper left corner of the sketch icon. This will also tell you if the sketch is fully defined/constrained. See two sketches here. Sketch 2 is fully constrained.
