I'm having trouble extruding this semi-complicated sketch in my piece.  I import the DXF and move it generally where I want, but I still need to flip and scale it.  So I move it and flip it and scale it to where I want it to be, now some profiles aren't closed, so I go to edit the sketch and it goes to edit where the sketch was created, and not where it is after I move it.

Is there a way to make a copy of this in the new spot so when I edit it, I can edit in the new position to reference geometry there?

Also every time I move it some closed profiles become unclosed.  So even when I edit sketch to super close them again it just uncloses, and I can't extrude it.  I tried extruding it right from DXF import, but then even though it says the sketch profile is closed when editing the sketch, it still doesn't extrude some of the profiles saying there is an error: couldn't extrude profile. Deleted the solid body trying to extrude into because the file was too large.

Hi,

1. Extrude the primary sketch and create a copy of this body if necessary.
2. Position the copy over the new area of use.
3. Scale the object as required.
4. create a sketch on the new plane and project the scaled object into this sketch.

If you want to change something in the sketch, remove the tick (projection link).
Then the projection (blue) can still be edited.

second possibility: open the sketch and mark what you need and with ctrl+c copy the . create another sketch in any direction and paste the copy with ctrl+v. in this way you can also mirror or rotate your sketch on every plane and angular line. greetings mango
