Is the Rotate Command Broken

Morning All,

I'm was trying to rotate a sketch (by 50deg) by clicking on the 'MOVE' button,  before I move it into position but it doesn't seem to work.

On the enclosed pic everything I want rotated was selected and it prompts me for an axis - (shouldn't this be a centre point for rotation) so I cannot rotate the sketch

Only when I opt for a free rotate, reposition the pivot point do I get the rotate wheel up and I can rotate the sketch.

Additionally, within the free rotate it is REALLY counter-intuitive to have to confirm the reposition of the pivot point - surely when you snap to a point that should be it. If you insist on confirmation have a pop up box or similar so we can see it.

PLEASE SORT OUT THE GUI BEFORE ADDING FEATURES!

Lastly, ROTATE, MOVE, COPY should also have their own commands

Matt

Your not going to be able to rotate that sketch because of the vertical constraint.

I agree the move tool needs some work.

I'll point out that the move tool does provide separate translate and rotate tools (see pic.)  The copy while moving was introduced at the request of many on the forum.  It's is a little clunky the way they integrated it with move.  Standard copy/paste procedures still work though.  Now if only they would add copy multiple...

HI Laughingcreek,

I was just about to post "What vertical constraints I haven't chosen ........" then I realised I drew a rectangle and, of course,  F360 put in the constraints automatically *@&% sake!!!

Not directed at you but why dont the designers just give the user a dialogue box explaining things isn't this basic good practice? How are we supposed to use Fusion in anger if we dont get feedback on what's going on when things dont work as expected. I've wasted over 5 hours today on a couple of various issues which are probably as simple as this - good job I'm a hobbyist

Another rant over - hopefully someone at Autodesk will listen
