Is saving a 2D drawing within .f3d file possible?

I created an .f3d assembly drawing and imported some components. When I try to create a 2D drawing of a particular component and save it, I can't seem to save it within that .f3d assembly file. I can only save it as a separate file (but in the same parent folder as my .f3d assembly).

Is it possible to save a 2D drawing of a f3d drawing component so it resides in and is accessible from the hierarchical tree (components, bodies, sketches, etc.) of that .f3d drawing, rather than having to open it in a separate file?

I also noticed, when saving the 2D drawing, the default file name that is auto-generated (which can be changed manually) is the main title of my .f3d assembly, not the name of the activated component that the 2D drawing was generated from. Is this normal?

NO!, the 2D drawing is going to be a separate file.  The naming of the 2D drawing file, as you mentioned, picks up the name of the model it is created from and this is normal behavior.  Being able to change it is also normal.
