Is it possible to simply "Print" a design to scale?

I thought I could maybe "Capture An Image" and print it on a regular printer to confirm fit and design features, nope, it changes the scale regardless of what I do or try and renders the .PNG useless.

Is there a way to print a "Sketch" to scale?

Thanks in advance

can you put it in a 2d drawing at 1:1 scale??

Save the sketch as dxf,

menu item on the right click menu, when selecting the sketch in the browser.

You will need software that can print dxf.

Tell the printer driver that you want 1:1, or untick fit to page, if the printer has that function.

Fusion does not print to paper directly.

Might help....

I guess I don't know what it looks like but you cant just make a small solid out of it for the purpose??

The original question is for "sketches".

To make a model, make a 2d drawing, that he still can't print from Fusion - counter intuitive to me.

I use Sketch to DXF, for that reason alone.

Might help.

That does require outside software though right?

To get anything on paper, you can't do it direct from Fusion,

currently drawings are exported as DWG, or PDF.

Sketches are DXF, as mentioned, and

there is no print button in Fusion,

you are correct you need secondary software, all those formats.

I forgot about doing Drawings->Print.

The Solid is an interesting idea as well.

Thanks for the direction.

Cheers

Its sort of cheating if you need outside software.  Think the idea is to come up with a hack or workaround to get it done with Fusion.

Hi

You can look at the video from Paul Clauss on how to export to a Drawing.

Click on Model dropdown list, then select Drawing,  From Design.

You will then be able to print from the Bodies or the Sketches

This does not answer the related question of how to go from a "SKETCH" to a "2D PAPER PRINT@ 1:1 SCALE".  It is assumed in this answer that there is a 3d design, and not a "SKETCH".   "SKETCHES" are also very valuable pieces of information and it would be great in the future to go from a "SKETCH" to a "2D PAPER PRINT".

THIS WOULD BE SUPER HELPFUL TO BE ABLE TO EXPORT A PRINT FILE AT 1:1 SCALE... This way if you are doing  waterjet cutting of sheet metal parts and you want to layout the pieces in order afterward you need a drawing that is 1:1

Please add this or a workaround!!!!

The "solutions" and "work arounds" are helpful, I will admit, I don't understand the reluctance on the part of the F360 team to provide a simple PRINT button for sketches. Maybe they'll come to it one day.

Export pdf of drawing is now 500$ per year 😞

I have started migrating away from F360 and only use it when necessary.

I have mixed feelings about how they have gone about this entire process, they need to make money to put all this together on the one hand, on the other, if I knew years ago what was going to be 'behind the pay wall' I most likely wouldn't have wasted huge amounts of time learning the program and would probably have stayed with FreeCAD and dealt with it's down sides.

"Bait and switch" is a very insulting business model.

Thats ghastly. The oddly configured paywall is going to kill off f360.

hello Sr.i watched your "option"for normal printing, well nice for small objects that fit on a 1 page, but what if you like to make a scaled print of 1 object that does not fit on 1 page????I want to make construction prints, from my sketches, some parts Like a ships Keel doe not fit on1 page, printed in scale 1 to 10.and all PDF files, make a object loose dimensions, you can NOT change a pdf file.so think about 1 option for this

good morning, well you are looking for the same thing i am,in this very good designing programm fusion 360,they are missing the most important option any program has, like just "print",meaning a normal 2d print from a sketch.
