I have files that were created using Inventor Professional 2016. How can I open and manipulate the files, .itp, .stp and assembly? Is this possible in Fusion 360?

Hi @Anonymous
Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!
With Fusion you are able to open many different types of file extensions including .ipt. The link below contains a list of all of the links as well as how to upload all of the files. To give you the short run down (as its a pretty long article) all you have to do is open your data panel and making sure you are in the correct project folder that you want to be in, click upload. If you do this within fusion, it will automatically convert the non-native design to a Fusion 360 design. I went ahead and created a screencast below showing how I went about this process. (I used a .stp file as I didn't have an .ipt file on hand)
Hopefully this answered your question. If so, please feel free to mark this answer as a solution, that way others can benefit from this thread as well. If you have any more questions, or would like some more clarification, don't hesitate to let me know! I'm more than happy to help!
Thanks,
For future readers, this is not possible in the personal version as of 2021-03-15. Need the startup version or higher.
I did the same than your video. Once than my .ipt file is uploaded, when I click on it, it directs me to a website but I cannot see the object in Fusion
@Anonymous If you are using the hobby\personal version you can not use the online translators needed to open ipt files.
