Is it possible to drive user parameters for components in assemblies?

I am looking to drive user parameters in my assembly using a number of instanced/referenced sub-components. I created a user param that dictates the extrude length for a component and I would like to modify the user param per instance of each component it references in my final assembly. Is this possible today? Or, can I only use user params to drive body attributes in the original (non-referenced) sub-assembly project file?

My usecase is for aluminum extrusions but this can apply to any  assembly that requires user driven params to change the products attributes.

Thanks for the quick reply TrippyLighting!

The sooner we can get this feature the better as it will help immensely in parameter driven assemblies and save loads of time reconfiguring individual components for a given product sku/configuration.

I believe what the OP initially described would be a feature set called Configurations in other CAD software such as SolidWorks.

That feature set is in development and we might see public releases by the end of this year.

However, for frame design, for example with Aluminum Extrusions,  that is simply not the right tool.
