Is Fusion 360 going browser only?

I read a comment on a YT video today where a viewer claimed Fusion 360 will only run on the web, meaning the desktop client will be dropped.  Is this true?

Nope.

They probably meant you had to have an internet connection, because the data files are all cloud based.  This isn't entirely true either, as you can work off line on files.

The browser client does not nearly have the depth of features the Desktop version has. Not nearly!

It unlikely ever will.
