Introduce a full dark mode for Fusion 360.

I've had enough of the white bar on top. I don't think it is difficult to introduce dark mode. It is really not difficult. It's already in 2021, isn't it? Every time I face the pale screen, my eyes are roaring~~

I wonder if we can code a custom toolbar using the API. You get dark mode and I get the little icons or better yet move the toolbar to the side.

Looking to select a new tool for playing around with STLs for my 3D printer and someone recommended Fusion 360 to me.  It nearly burned my retinas when I loaded it on my HDR OLED monitor.  I don't have a single other application on my PC that does not support a dark mode.  Uninstalling before trying to learn this.

It's December 2023. I will not buy a product without dark mode.  You've already lost at least $538 in opportunity cost, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Is the juice worth the squeeze? Are yall getting kickbacks from advil or lenscrafters to not implement this? Like what's the angle?

PRO TIP: If the only reason this feature isn't being approved is some weird internal beuracracy or management approval process, consider this an accessibility issue. a11y is super hot with companies now, and it's legitimately an accessibility issue. You'll get a **** ton of story points and you will probably increase sales so much that there willl be a visibile uptick in some quarterly reports.

Thank you, ironically your comment on this post has reminded me to cancel our companies auto renewal of our annual subscription to fusion as we have moved to a competitor who provides this option. Autodesk we've used fusion for several years, now watch us leave. No regrets.

I'm deciding which design package to go with.  In particular, I'm interested in doing digital electronics design and layout.  I just signed up for Fusion 360, downloaded the current version, fired it up, discovered it had no dark mode, and immediately discounted it as a viable or useful tool.  I will be deleting it from my workstation and looking for another solution.  Fusion Electronics is, in my opinion, useless in it's current form.

I've purchased this year for a project, but with FreeCAD and Blender's CAD extensions quickly reaching near feature parity, I don't expect I'll be renewing many times in the future if this isn't solved. This is the single piece of software in my workflow that doesn't have a dark mode, and it's seriously a usability issue to have one window blaring white against a full setup of darker text. It's been far too long, especially with the general lack of features.

It is hard to believe this is still an issue in 2024. However, I did find a workaround that sort of works. It is a tad buggy, at least within Fusion 360, but makes most of the application dark (really, it just inverts the color of it.)

Now you know why you should stay away from this company's products if you can. They have NO regards to their paying customers. My years of using Autodesk EAGLE cad (after they bought EAGLE CAD) have told me exactly that. Lots of suggestions and bug reports from lots of users and I've seen none implemented or taken care of. Learn a free and open source tool if you can.
