Intersection curve

Hi, I am a long time solidworks user and I'm branching out and trying new things.  In solidworks there is a command that can make a 3d sketch of the intersection of two surfaces.  It is very simple and I use it for many many things.  I am having a very difficult time finding a similar solution in fusion360.  Please see my attached image, I am trying to make a 3d sketch that follows the intersection of these two surfaces so I can make a swept feature along the 3d path.

Thanks for your help.

Create 3d sketch, (Under Preferences, has to be enabled)

In the Sketch Pallette, tick, 3d sketch

then Sketch > Project > Inersection Curve,

should get you underway....

I hadn't considered using the edge of a split surface as the path.  Thanks.

I certainly tried that a few times but it wast to have a plane to put the sketch onto.  Even though I have 3D sketch enabled.  Maybe I am just using the command wrong.  Either way, splitting the surface and using its edge as the path gets me to the solution and seems like the easiest solution, thanks.

Sorry, Yes your right, it does require a plane to attach to, but can be any plane, does not have any other relevance to me / us.

Fusion needs it as a "ground plane" to measure from, internally. ( My logic, may not be fact)

I can't see @SaeedHamza videos on this machine, but I agree with and use that option as well,

Sketch project method works without any body/s to refer to.

Thank you for this type of movie, yes I can see this one, ( I noticed you had already changed over )

A comment,

you don't need to make the cutting tool as a surface, the sketch will work, just fine,

You should not delete the split from history, it makes 2 yellow icons in the timeline, but you can combine the two half bodies after the sweep.

Intersect curve does not cut the body.

Thanks...
