Interface frustration

First of all, I cannot seem to manage to invoke the orbit function with my wireless logitech mice.  With a regular mouse, I still have an annoying experience as I must do a modifier key along with a middle click every time I need to orbit the model.  This is not an efficient use of the mouse or keyboard.  I can find no specific means in the prefs to alter this.  Is there not any flexibility in this area?

Secondly,  when ever I navigate to the forum section, the web page is unresponsive to any selection so I cannot join or ask questions.  INdeed every clickable option while highlighting gives no result.

All told, my experience so far has been poor.  I could really use some help.

Two things I will check, the Display driver, make sure it is up to date and the mouse driver!

Sounds like you want "Solidworks style of orbit... If so click on your name then preferences and set the setting shown here:

Also the forum problems are known and being worked on...

Thanks for the response. The drivers for the logitech are up to date. There’s apparently an issue with one of the mice. There’s also the matter of the zoom direction being in the so-called ‘natural’ orientation which I don’t prefer to the traditional way. I can’t find any means to change this. And I’d really like to orbit holding a single mouse button w/o a modifier. Is that possible to setup in the prefs? I”m using the mac version.
