Inkscape created DXF has odd extra lines when opened in fusion modeling window

Happy New Year!!

I have an PNG image that I bitmap Traced in InkScape and saved as a DXF.

when I open it by using the insert feature it opens up with extra odd lines in place that should not be.

if I try to extrude the DXF I must select several segments, even thou it is supposed to be just one segment (section) to extruded.

when the extrusion is complete the item is still in several segments as apposed to just one piece.

If however I draw from scratch a new image in InkScape IE a simple circle with other smaller circles cut out of it...

And save it as a DXF it works fine in fusion. I did however needed to do a object to path and a stock to path to make my circle test appear in fusion?

Is there something I'm doing wrong in IncScape or is this a fusion 360 issue?

Also If I save it as a SVG in InkScape and use that, it works fine.

Ive attached the DXF file that was saved from InkScape

Thanks

Glen

Went back into InkScape to play and decided to try resolving the DXF this t8me when the option box popped up I. Deselected the two topcheck mark boxes

labeled - use ROBO-master type spline output and lwpolyline type of line output.

unchecking those two boxes it now works beautifully 🙂

I'm having the same issue!!

I unchecked the boxes in the option box inkscape then inserted it into Fusion 360.

This did not solve the problem 😕

any other suggestions?

If the issue you’ve described is the same as the one I’m experiencing then selecting all and exploding makes the extra lines I have disappear

thanks!!

I wasnt experiencing this though this new knowledge is helpful!!!

My resizing has been messed in inkscae and when inserted into fusion, it is
huge no matter what i do in inkscape and freezes the fusion program 😕

Thanks and glad you got your issue solved!!
