Hi --

After I create a point and then a rectangular pattern of points in a sketch,  I cannot seem to move the individual points.   For example, I might want to move every third point all together in one direction for the same amount.

Thanks

You'll need to delete the rectangular constraint in order to move geometry (including points) in a pattern.  You can select more than one item to move with a single command.

Hi

Thanks for replying.  What I cannot figure out is how to delete the rectangular constraint.  I can see that I can edit the rectangular pattern, but how do I remove the constraint?

The rectangular constraint will be close to the original item in the pattern:

One thing to add to what @etfrench said:  There are times when this area can be pretty crowded, with other constraint icons, and sketch geometry.  If you have a hard time selecting the pattern icon, try using Select Other.  Press and hold the left mouse button for about 1/2 second, and you will see a menu like this:

The pattern constraint will be labelled "Sketch Geometry Constraint" as in the picture.  Find which constraint is the pattern, and click on that item in the list.  Then, just press Delete, and the pattern will be deleted.

Hi --

Thanks for replying.

I got further in that I can see the popup showing the constraint.. (see image)

BUT, I still cannot figure out how to delete the constraint.  If I click that entry on the popup, it just makes the popup go away, and I don't see anything about deleting.

I must be doing or not doing something obvious or odd.
