Importing Dxf scale problems

When importing the dxf files, it reduces the scale of the object in the drawings. I've been doing a bit of research and it seems to be a common problem. How do you fix this issue within fusion, or is it a problem with the exporting software? We are using Drawing Board v1 to export, and all the units are set to our desired output, inches, and the ratio seems to be set right within that program. All 1:1. I can't seem to figure out the solution for this.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

I saw your email as well and responded there too. A DXF file is a unitless file type. Unitless file types need to be defined upon the importation of the file. If you are trying to upload your DXF file (from the Data Panel), then the DXF file will default to centimeters, I believe. You can manually define the units for the DXF file if you create a new model (or use an existing one), then go to the Insert Menu, and select Insert DXF. In here you can specify the units to be inches and it should be scaled correctly. Just to check - have you tried this workflow yet? If not, can you give it a try. If this is what you are doing and the units are still off, can you share the dxf file with me so I can check it out.

Thanks,
