Imported Model Joint Problem

I'm sure this is a really basic question, as I am a beginner. So my apologies.

I've imported Arduino_uno.6df525b0-a0fc-4683-8e1a-4d70c617ad71 model and trying to design a case for it.

But because it has a bazillion components, when I try to create a joint between a hole in the PCB and my case model, it only moves the PCB and none of the other components.

How to a lock/join/combine all the components in the Arduino model so they all move as one with a Joint?

Thanks!

  • Select all your components from the PCB
  • Create a ridged group by using Assemble -> Ridgid group
  • Create your joint as you want to do it. Don't be irritated that Fusion will not move all components from the PCB because it tries to minimize computing power. After you've pressed OK in the joint dialog all components will be moved into place.

Worked perfectly!!!

Yup, it moved the PCB first and then when I pressed 'Ok' it moved all the other components!
