Import STL due to size/ Mesh to BREP to make Editable

I have to import an STL file to allow me to import the correct size into Fusion 360.  Trouble is, that if I import, I am no longer able to use Mesh to BRep which makes the STL editable.  If I open the stl, then I can use Mesh to BRep to make it editable, but the size will be 10X bigger.  Is there a way to do both, import the stl so I get the correct size AND THEN use Mesh to BRep to allow for editing afterwards  or vise versa?  Added screenshot for example.

Do you have Capture Design History turned off?

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Omg that was it!  Once I turned off the capture history, the Mesh to BRep showed up as an option after importing!  Was banging my head against a wall for hours!  Thank you so much!
