I work with OBJ, STL, and 3DS files a lot any more. I have been searching the web, and reading posts, articles, and watching videos, and for the most part I think I wasted the day.
I have one of the subscriptions that includes 3DS MAX. I have been trying to learn the best way to deal with those file types and bring them into Fusion for machining. I have followed a number of videos and tutorials, mostly from older versions of Max, so they don't match my workspace which makes things harder. So far the outputs have not imported into Fusion much better than the original files.
I think I have downloaded every program that has any mention of Tri to Quad, and they either don't do a good enough job, or are to complicated like 3ds max.
I can't be the only one out there that wants to import complex mesh files into fusion to work on a better cam strategy for the file. Has anyone found a relatively straight forward way to deal with these files in Fusion?
