Import an old Iventor Project?

Hello,

I tried to upload a complete project via Fusion hub. I tried different types (only folder and file). After that I try to open it in fusion 360. I see the dwg file there, I also see that there is something in the file. But then when I choose create a fusion design I only get a file with an component tree of empty components.

I also tried to upload direct to fusion - same Zum Wörterbuch hinzufügen everything is empty.

After that I installed Autodesk DWG TrueView 2016 there I am able to open the file - I see the whole model. So I tried to convert it to a newer DWG version.

But the result was the same in Fusion....

So Is there a way?

thanks

Are you trying to open an Inventor DWG (2D Drawing) in Autodesk Fusion 360? If so, you may need to export the drawing as an AutoCAD DWG file in Inventor first and then upload it into Fusion 360.

Or are you trying to import an Inventor assembly (IPT + IAM files)? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by complete project. Could you clarify?

One tip that may be helpful is to use the Pack and Go command in Inventor to copy all of the associated files into a single directory. You can then upload that entire folder into a project on your hub, via the dashboard.

I hope that helps.

Thanks,
