Im sorry. I am frustrated

Fusion is frustrating me right now. It has been great for many things but there are aspects where it simply underperforms in areas where I personally feel is normally a standard.

Like why can't Fusion simply transfer Configurations once you break the link from the original file!? why cant you have user parameters locally on just one component so it doesn't show every single parameter in one long list and WHY are there no freaking dimensions option for Partslist, or any other more in- depth options like custom details font sizes or anything!?

As a student at an internship who is trying to setup a template library for someone with no experience nor interest in Fusion, Its frustrating how you cant just drag an object in, adapt the dimensions for that particular project and then send it to drawing and have dimensions in that partslist along with a setup of article numbers (Have tried but its finicky and very manual,)

I know this software isn't really meant for what I'm trying to achieve and Im just being in that mode where bashing my head into a wall feels better than engaging with this software and project. But some option and abilities are lacking where one would think is the bare essentials for  a software. 

I have been looking into Add-ins but its either behind a paywall or isn't what I need.
Also the add-in store doesn't have that many add-ins... Coming from Blender in the past as I got interested in 3D-modelling, I was surprised the lack of add-ins.

Anyway. angry frustrated rant is over. back to bashing my head into a wall while trying to tinker with this project further... any advice is welcomed!

If you can share a more detailed description of what you are trying to achieve, along with a model, that would go a long way in getting some help.

If you are aware that Fusion isn't really meant for what you want to do, why are you using it?

I am a student that is currently doing an internship and my final project is to help a sales person setting up a workflow that can mimic the one he is currently using with another software that is completely different (Configura). Since their license is about to expire and they need to eventually transition, the company landed on Fusion 360 since a new license of Configura would be 100 times more expensive. While all of us are well aware that these software's are different I am attempting to make the process in fusion as simple as possible as the final user aren't too familiar with Fusion and want it to be as simple as possible.

So to answer why I'm using it. Because it's what's available at the moment.

I don't know if its a model that I'm having issues with. Its more the framework of Fusion itself that makes me stuck a lot of the times.
I make a basic model and I simply want the user to be able to drag it in a new design and be able to adjust dimensions without affecting the root model.
I want to be able to utilize Parts list to automatically include dimensions (Which I dunno why isn't a thing in fusion, either Im weird or isn't that kinda basic?)

and Since I can't buy any add-ins and those I've looked into doesn't seem to fill my needs, Im stuck trying to figure out a way to a workaround.

I have build base models and I kinda wanna use them as templates. Kind of how you can add in screws and adjust to your liking but for my personal model. Dunno if you can build your own libraries like that but that would be amazing.

Again Im just frustrated. Im originally a Blender user who got into an education in CAD and coming from a Blender world where there are endless of add-ons and solutions, CAD-softwares just feels so restricted sometimes.
