,igs file upload question

Hi,

I had an item scanned and the file returned to me was .igs.  When I upload it into Fusion 360 it looks great.  Its covered in a mesh and when I rotate it the mesh goes away and see a solid model.

I need to design around this object.  What is the best way to do this?  Can I convert it to something else like .f3d?  I don't need to modify the scanned object I just need to build objects around it that will follow the scanned items contours.

Thank you in advance for your help

The type of the flye does not affect it's structure. If you want to use it as a component you need to convert it into a brep for example, but that need a lot of computer power, the easiest way is to remodell it. Hope i could help, if not send me the file in e-mail and I will try to help you with screenshots.

Visual doesn't necessarily mean that you have a "solid model" in the CAD sense of the term.

Can you attach the original IGES file here?
