I'm having trouble completing a boolean operation

I have two models that I'm trying to boolean. One has a ridge that I want to cut out of the other piece but fusion keeps throwing this error

"There was a problem combining geometry together. If attempting a Join/Cut/Intersect, try to ensure that the bodies have a clear overlap (problems can occur where faces and edges are nearly coincident)."

I've attached the file below, I'm trying to use DuctBottom to cut DuctTop. Does anyone know how to fix it or a workaround to get the desired result? Thank you.

No history for bottom body, so can't say why there are highlighted edges here,

Near coincident faces have to be accurate.

Might help...

You posted previous problems with this design in a previous thread.

Your hacked your way though this design. Now it's time to take a step beck, and reevaluate.

I would start from scratch!

ah, those edges are there because I had to delete a face and use surface tools to fill it back in, I haven't found a way to simplify a flat face that has edges in it like that. Is there a way get rid of the edges on that face?

I can't tell you that because this component was imported and has no building history.

Normally you would find the fix, within the construction history, (sketch articles moved or duplicate sketch articles and selecting the wrong one - who knows?)

Delete and replace faces is a huge clue.
