Hello guys,

I am having a problem with extruding. As my bridge is curved, it has created hundreds of faces along the surface which I am trying to extrude. I am wondering how I could create one face with all of the multiple faces which I could extrude in one rather than doing them all individually.

If anyone knows how to solve this issue it would honestly really save me here. My project is due in 5 days and I need to 3D print it.

The images of my problem are down below.

I am having an issue uploading the f3d file though as it is over 71MB, If anyone knows how to do so I would greatly apriciate it.

Many thanks,

Finn

Hi,

This has nothing to do with the curved surface.
It is a (converted?) mesh body with triangulated surfaces.

Please upload the f3d file

Hi,

Please export the model in fd3 or it will be almost impossible for us to help you.

Ok, from the look of it you are going to have a hard time extruding this model in its present form. From the textures in

the pictures you have provided it looks like you have form modelled, which looks great but creates problems with

extruding. Typically you would use a sketch and extrude from that to get your shape and then use the tools to make it

the final shape you want. It may be possible to use push pull to extrude individual faces here, but without the model

I cannot actually tell how you have put it together.

Converting what you have into a mesh, if it isn't already a mesh, should be straight forward. You should be able to

export it as an stl or step file and it will print from the slicer software, or you may be able to set up the print directly

from fusion if your 3d printer is supported.

How exactly did you model this and what tools did you use?

Looks good BTW. I would walk across it.

Cheers

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Thank you so much for getting in touch I really appreciate it.

I am new to fusion I originally was using sketchup but the design was getting abit too complecated I am just about to upload the file onto the post. I would love it if you could have a look and see what you can do. I completely understand if you are busy though.

Once again, thank you so much.

All the best,

Finn

Hello, Gunther

Thank you so much for getting in touch to help, I cannot explain how much I appreciate it.

I have an issue as my bridge is 87.7 MB and the maximum file upload is 71MB. Do you know how I could send it to you?

I would love for you to help me, I simply cannot find a way to do it on my own.

Oncemore, Thank you so much for helping me out

All the best,

Finn
