Hello,

I am making project in fusion 360 and I am using a group of components, assemlby, to keep it organised.

With one part of my project I forgot to make one. So I just want to move then into the assembly.

I thought drag and drop will work, but is doen't.  I looked on you tube for ansers, but what they are doing does not work with me

This does not work as it suppose to.

Can  someone help me?

With regards,

Hi,

Please share the file and specify which component or feature is involved.

File > export > save as f3d on local drive  > attach it to the next post

Can you share your design ?

If so, please export it as a .f3d file and attach it to your next post.

Here is your model with the re-arrangement of the sub-assembly.  I will caution you that this is a F3Z file.  I would create a separate folder, away from your original, to Upload it to.  This will prevent messing up your original work in case there is something in the change you do not like.  I did the re-arrange outside the top level assembly and then brought it back in.

You address your question to yourself.  If you are asking me how I did it, I already described how I did it in my original post with your model.  I Saved Copy As the sub-assembly containing the components you wished to rearrange externally.  Opened it up and did the required rearranging in the Browser using Left Click Dragging.  Saved it and then inserted it back into your top level assembly.  After that I broke the external link to the inserted file only and you have your final result.

By the way, if you choose Quick Reply to a post, you are addressing it to yourself.  Use the Reply icon on the post of the person you are addressing.

Are you clear on what I did?  If so please select the Accept Solution icon on the post that solved your issue.  If not, just ask and I will try to explain or create a Screencast.
