How to wrap a component rather than a sketch on a curve

Hi Everyone. 

I am trying to wrap or emboss a component onto a cylinder. I am really struggling, when I use a combine act it is not taking all the shape. It almost needs to be a wrap or emboss cut, but it wont let me pick up the component. Can anyone advise if there is a way to do this as I am really struggling.

I am self taught with CAD and Fusion has been such a great programme to learn with, but I am still learning everyday.

Really appreciate any thoughts.

After completion we will move into position on the cylinder and perform a Sweep-Cut with toolbody.
