How to user over constraint dimension as parameter in sketch mode

Hi,

I have a design with a set of pulleys. The size and position is static - the hole sketch is fully constrained.

Still I want to add over constrained dimensions, just to measure the belt length (3 linear segments). Since the length are over constrained, they don't show as as paramater.

Is there any way to access the 3 over constrained length to sum them up?

4 constrained pulleys - how to calculate belt lenght now?4 constrained pulleys - how to calculate belt lenght now?

Thanks a lot !

Stefan

No. there was a posting recently saying AD was working on introduction this functionality, but you can't do it at this time.

you cannot do this today, unfortunately.  See this IdeaStation item:  ability-to-reference-driven-dimensions

I am away from Fusion, so can't test for a while yet,

Project the three lines and arcs to arcs to create a profile in another sketch,

i think Measure will call out the loop, and area if you select the profile.

I don't think it will be parametric, but ....

Might spark something.
