Thank you.

There are 3 option

The minimum number of vertices per surface depends on Direction type:

  • Fit: 3

  • Select Line: 1

  • Select Parallel Line: 2

Can you give demo Select Line and Select Parallel Line?

Thank

Hi

I try Direction: Select Line.

I draw a line. Then try to pick this line but can not pick. What I should do?

I think the term "line" in the command is miss-leading.  you can only pick the edges of bodies, no lines. (and the you pick have to be straight)

@jeff_strater  - can the UI folks look at this?  between the confusing terminology (line instead of edge) in the command, and the lack of explanation in the documentation, it seems like this could be improved on some.

@laughingcreek

I agree with you. There are confusion.

I try draw new Axis throught 2 points. Then I can pick this Axis.

Hi @laughingcreek

If I need 2 fix points. How can I use Select Parallel Line?

I use t-splines (form) a lot.  I personally wouldn't obsess over the use of straighten line.  I don't really see it as being that useful.  there are a lot of other important things to learn about using this environment.

Hi

I agree with both of you. However I think the Fusion 360 Team have reason to create this feature. Today, I can apply option Line and Select Line.

I just want to undestand Select Parallel Line. They may help in future.

This limitation has been fixed in our internal build.  You will soon be able to select a sketch line in the Straighten command.  It will be appearing in an update soon.
