How to Unlink Copied Bodies

So I have copied multiple bodies but now when I move one, the others move to different locations.

I would like to align these rectangular vents to the impression in the base C-plate.

When i move one the others are out of alignment. There must be a way to unlink them.

Help....

Actually you are asking the wrong question.

You make a number of mistakes that I don't have the time to explain in detail but you are using the move tool way too often and use it to repack proper joints or other methods.

Your assembly also suffers structure problems in that you often have a bodies folder containing multiple bodies at the same structural level with another component.

As such it would have probably been better if you had been seeking advise earlier. If you really want to learn how to use Fusion 360 properly I'd say there is a lot o work and re-work to be done here.

The very first ting I'd try to fix are all the yellow and red icons in your timeline.

Rule #1 is what  @TrippyLighting is talking about. You should have created on component with on body (e.g.) the vents and than copy / past this and than join it to your C-plate. Copy past could be replaced e.g. with a rectangular pattern or pattern along a path and a single join would be fine.

This is a little sample how it could work. I haven't used your design, I just simplified objects to show a possible way to do the job.

Actually there is a solution for this problem, and i wanted to mention it as when you google the problem, this thread comes first.

In the move command, the first selection box, instead of Bodies, you select Components, then you should be able to move the body independently from the other. At least this is how it works for me, each body being in a separate component.

Sometimes we don't have the luxury to be working on something we created and need to deal with what is handed to us. After a lot of grief trying to find where and why each time I pasted certain component with many bodies, that other parts of the model shifted around (sometime undetected until later causing a lot of wasted time) I found a solution that was simple and worked for me to disable the links. I copied the component and pasted it in a new window. Then I exported it as a STEP file. Next I opened the STEP file and copied the component back into the original model. This eliminated whatever links were present causing the model to shift things around when doing a "paste new" function.
