how to thicken?

i am on the hair dryer tutorial and have just completed the first part in the sculped mode. the seconed part to this tutorial is to thicken the body by using the thicken command tool. after switching over to modeling mode i highlighted the body of the hair dryer and used the thicken command in model mode. an error pops up that states "no faces selected." im not quiet sure what i am doing wrong but could i get some feedback on what it could be please?

thank you.

Hi chevionthego

Convert the T-Spline to BREP, surface bodies are created. Typically you will perform operations to create solid bodies as the end result, by clicking on rigth botton of the mouve over the T-Spline (like the picture)

You may be running into an interface quirk with the Thicken tool.  If you click the part in the drawing and have selecting chained faces turned on, Fusion thinks that you are telling it to not select any faces to shell. You click in the drawing to tell Fusion what NOT to thicken.  You must first select the body to shell in the Browser, then click on any faces you want to remain open. This is exactly backwards from what many of us expect with the tool at first.
